Women, even within the FLOW company, who are philanthropist. What I admired most, is the topics showed our young ladies, that even with challenges and obstacles, anything, is possible! I extend a huge thank you to Mrs. Brooks and Mrs. Webster from the Management and staff of FLOW.” said Commercial manager, Jade Reymond.
She continued “We couldn’t think of a better way to partner with the Gender affairs unit of the Government of Anguilla, and Dr. Ronya Foy- Connor for including us in the celebration of the 16 days of Activism and thank them for the opportunity. The ladies from Confetti Dust Studio, Twyla and Latoya, a warm thank you for assisting and supporting the event. A special thank you is extended to the ALHCS, Mrs. Vanessa Thompson, Bonfinesse Party Place, Mrs. Challenger and the Tea Ladies. Much encouragement is fostered when we work together. The group of women who spoke at the event are passionate and inspiring. I am sure that the young ladies left feeling motivated and loved. That was the purpose. FLOW is pleased to be able to host this event. We look forwards to doing this as often as we are presented with the opportunity.”
“The Gender Affairs Unit of the Ministry of Home Affairs was excited to collaborate with FLOW Anguilla for what has become out annual event. As Gender Affairs seeks to empower individuals to discover their purpose and live is out, this was an opportune time to focus on teenage girls in Anguilla. Dr. Ronya Foy Connor noted that “The guest speakers, Shellecia and Shellya, were inspirational as the discussed their personal successes and challenges. They took the opportunity to show the young ladies that even though life will have setbacks, there is always a reason to keep striving toward greatness. This is the message that the Gender Affairs Unit hopes to instill into the minds and hearts of Anguillians; especially during the 16 Days of Activism where we’re charged to “Leave No One Behind.”
