With the passage of Hurricane Irma, a section of the old hospital building in the Upper Valley, which housed the Anguilla Red Cross, sustained severe damage resulting in the displacement of the voluntary organisation and its personnel.
The Red Cross, a very active and growing community-based organisation, has now been relocated in private and larger premises on the Stoney Ground Road.
The additional space is particularly useful given the large quantity of supplies, received from various sources, for distribution to members of the community. It recent days the building has been a busy and crowded scene.
