On Saturday 28th October, 2017 the East End Community Sports Club held its annual fundraiser, entitled “A Night of Praise”, at the St. Gerard’s Roman Catholic Church.
The Club focuses on our educational and medical institutions throughout the island and, as such, the Rosewood Centre, a facility for our senior citizens, located in Sandy Hill, was selected as the recipient of the proceeds from this fundraiser.
Initially, the proceeds were to be used for purchasing a dryer. However, the Club was informed that the Home’s washing machine became non-functional and, as a result, on Tuesday, 21st November, 2017 the Home was presented with a much needed washing machine.
The presentation was made to Mrs. Alma Hodge, Executive Chef at the Rosewood Centre, by Mr. Owen Mussington, President of the Club and Ms. Stacie Ruan, Organizer of the fundraiser.
The Club expresses thanks to the St. Gerard’s Roman Catholic Church for allowing the usage of their church; and to its avid supporters. Also to Mr. Kaseem Forde the Master of Ceremony, and The Anguillian newspaper and New Beginning Radio for their contribution to the advertisement of the fundraiser.
Special thanks is also being extended to Island Dream Properties for their kind sponsorship of the PA System and to our loyal participants, without whom the fundraiser would not have been possible.
