Friday, November 3rd – The Valley, Anguilla: Total communications and entertainment service provider, Digicel, has donated relief items to the Anguilla National Culinary Team (ANCT) and the Anguilla Hotel & Tourism Association (AHTA).
The Digicel team, led by Digicel’s CEO, Kerchelle Jn Charles-Hodge presented the items last Monday, October 30th to the AHTA, who in turn will donate them to local hoteliers on behalf of Digicel and the National Culinary team. The handover of items included: pallets of water, canned and dry food, beds, pillows, sheets and other household items.
Gilda Gumbs- Samuel, Executive Director of the AHTA says of Digicel’s contribution, “The Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association, is pleased to accept this relief on behalf of the ANCT. Digicel has been a longstanding sponsor of the ANCT and is also a corporate member of the AHTA. The Anguilla community has supported and embraced the ANCT and now the team is happy to assist. We thank Digicel for their effort and support and look forward to continued collaboration on other efforts.”
According to Kerchelle Jn Charles–Hodge, “The team is working as quickly as possible to completely restore the network and during this time Digicel will continue to assist charities and associations with their recovery efforts throughout the island as the company understands the need for assistance after the hurricanes.”
