The 10th Annual KooL FM Children’s Day was another huge success. The event that commemorated their tenth anniversary was held on 19th August at the Coronation Park under the theme “Teaching Children To Give To Others”

Monique Webster, one of the executive committee members delivered the opening address:-
The committee were indeed happy to host another day of learning and fun. While the children were welcomed along with other distinguished guests, members of Government, sponsors, helpers and parents.

Ten years ago, the vision of three pioneers lead by Mr. Leroy “Brother Lee” Richardson, Ms. Irma “Nantan” Carty (the body Guard) and Businessman Mr. Michel Faligant, met to discuss a KooL FM’s Children’s Day that was launched soon after. Today it is evident that event kept getting bigger and better, thanks to the inclusion of our local Business partners, sponsors and supporters including The Anguilla Social Security Board, Mr. Joseph Williams, Tropical Shipping USA LLC, Mr. Scott Hauser, Mr. Hugo Rey, various agencies of the Government of Anguilla, just to mention a few.

Our Children’s day Committee are being committed, sincere and always determined to handle the children with their utmost love and affection and make them feel at home while interacting with each other through fun, games and gifts.

Several additional activities were added to the programme this year commemorating the tenth anniversary which included an Award Presentation to all consistent major sponsors, Certificate of appreciation to Contributors, Supporters and Helpers during the ten years of the Children’s day; a roll call of all elected Government Officials and “See, Feel and Taste” workshops facilitated by the Anguilla Red Cross, Mr. Joseph Pradel and Mrs. Vernice Battick.

On behalf of the Children’s Day committee we extend a special thank you to everyone that made KooL FM Children’s Day 2017 a great success.
