RAPF REPORTS: POLICE INVESTIGATE SECOND MURDER FOR 2017

The Royal Anguilla Police Force is investigating what is being treated as a murder the death of 67 years old Lawrence Antonio Brooks formerly of Blowing Point. He was also known as “Dapper” and “Tapuss”.

On Sunday 25th June 2017 at about 7:30am police responded to a report of the body of an adult male who was discovered found lying in the surf at Rendezvous Bay in the area of the Dune Preserve. The body of the man was later identified as that of Brooks.
As the Police continue its investigation into this murder they appealing to anyone who may have seen Mr. BROOKS who was a well-known man, from any time on Friday 23rd June around 6.30pm until Saturday midnight on the 24th June 2017 to contact the Valley Police Station with such information. The telephone number is 497-2333 and asks for the Major Crime Unit or to speak to any Police Officer of their choice.
Additionally information can be sent via the RAPF Tips Website a secure website by logging on to www.gov.ai/911 in order that those responsible for his death can be held to account for their actions.
The Commissioner of Police and members of the Royal Anguilla Police Force would like extend sympathy to the grieved family and friends of the deceased.

A Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been assigned to the family during this difficult time.
