PASTOR DEXTER WELCOME INSPIRES CLASS 6 GRADUATING CLASS OF VPS TO BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE!

Pastor Dexter Welcome, of the Dominion Faith Church, gave an inspirational sermon to the 2017 Graduating Class of the Valley Primary School during a special service – on Sunday morning – which formed part of the Class 6 graduation activities.
Dressed in the school colours with his bag on his back, on Sunday morning, the Pastor encouraged the students to use their time positively in the furtherance of their education.
He urged the students to reduce the amount of time spent on social media if they want to succeed in their studies.
The Pastor told them now is not the time to focus on boyfriend or girlfriend relationships but rather focus on their education.
He reminded them that they will be entering Campus B – a new space -and urged them to do their best.
The church leader called on the students to respect each other’s learning abilities as each student has the ability to prosper whether in academics or trade.
He also urged them to obey their parents and to honour those who have contributed to their success.
Meanwhile Pastor Dexter Welcome and his family will be leaving Anguilla and moving to the US. He told The Anguillian:
“Anguilla is actually the place where God birthed my calling. I knew I was called to the Ministry but I started Pastoring in Anguilla in 2000, so it’s been 17 years pastoring. So what I believe God is doing is opening up another door for me to go Pastor in another environment – and so my family and I will be transitioning in two weeks-time to New Jersey.” He continued: “There, I know great things are in store, but I can’t say exactly what as yet. So we’re just going, just being hopeful and walking in faith and trusting the Lord for whatever he has in store for us.”
Asked about Pastor Jerome Harrigan who is now the official Pastor of the Dominion Faith Church, following an installation service on Sunday afternoon, Pastor Welcome said: “Pastor Jerome happens to be my very good friend. We’ve been friends for years. We collaborated with him many times on the radio station to do things for the station, so we’ve developed a friendship. And then when I came back from bible school he went off to the same bible school, and when he came back his wife went to bible school and when she came back their daughter went to bible school – so it is a family that has been preparing themselves for this mission and so that was the catalyst for choosing him for being the Pastor here.”
