On Saturday 8th July, a large audience packed the Rodney M. Rey Auditorium for the 16th Annual Anguilla Amateur Body Building and Fitness Federation body building and fitness championships.

The fans were treated to the best and most diverse championships on record.

President, Mr. Duquaine Brooks opened the showcase by welcoming the large audience. “Tonight we have 18 athletes vying for top honors in their respective categories. BodyBuilding and Fitness requires great dedication and discipline. These athletes have spent hours in the gym and lots of money on food and diets to prepare themselves for the stage. We have seen our athletes doing well regionally, claiming top spots at most regional shows. Most recently we travelled to sxm to compete in the 7th Annual JCs Interisland competition, and won 1st place in 6 out of 9 categories, along with 2 out of 3 overall wins.” The President stated.

“In light of this I would like to say a special thank all our sponsors, Social Security, Flow, Calypso charters, AXA Signature Jewelry, Anacaona Boutique Hotel, Dungeon Gym & Fitness Center, Xtreme Gym, Results Driven Fitness Center, La Seveverine Fitness Centre and Tropical Distributors for your generosity in these tough economic times is most appreciated. In partnering with us you have ensured the continuity of the local platform for our fitness enthusiasts to showcase their hard work.
