The Anguilla Starters Committee, sponsored by Anguilla Social Security Board, held an award ceremony at the Soroptimist Hall on Friday 21st July. The Starters Invitation has been in existence since 2013 and continues to fulfill its mandate to develop track and field and sportsmanship for the youth. This is exhibited through the Starters Invitational Track Meet which provides local athletes with the opportunity to be surrounded by other outstanding and accomplished athletes from throughout the region and United States.
Anguilla Starters Committee Chairman, Kenn Banks, remarked: “We appreciate all the work and sacrifices made…and we could not have done it without you, therefore we are pleased for your support.”
President, Anguilla Amateur Athletic Federation (AAAF), Lorna Rogers, added: “I commend the Committee for having the sponsors, to be publically thanked and the sponsors for their support of the Starters Invitational.”

A special award was presented to the Anguilla Social Security Board for their continuous support of the Anguilla Starters Committee.
