In the words of the great revolutionary Che Guevera and I quote, “ At the risk of seeming ridiculous let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality.”
Let us then greet the dawn and embrace the future by:
• Committing to positive growth and continuous self development;
• Committing to empowering Anguilla’s greatest asset – we the people;
• Committing to accepting ourselves for who we are and what we are;
• Committing to being respectful relative to personal differences and beliefs;
• Committing to bold leadership;
• Committing to being innovative in our thoughts and solutions;
• Committing to being committed and loyal to the development of this land we so love ANGUILLA;
• Committing to embracing pride in our heritage, culture and Anguilla’s patrimony;
• Committing to denouncing mediocrity and lawlessness;
• Committing to erasing envy, greed and hate;
• Committing to standing for truth and right;
• Committing to being each other’s keeper;
• Committing to being a friend to the ‘Uteman’/’Utewoman’ as they need positive reassurance although there may be a need for some tough love along the way;
• Committing to not gloating in gossip, innuendo, maliciousness and the demise of others;
• Committing to refraining from the practice of anarchy;
• Committing to the development of a united Anguilla;
• Committing to the development of an Anguilla which is all inclusive; while remembering that legacies are created through grit, determination, honesty, truth and compassion;
• Committing to forging ahead together even when tough times make us flounder and question our faith and resilience;
• Committing to understanding that “to whom much is given much is expected”; and
• Committing to playing a selfless and truly patriotic role as we continue the work that our forebears set out to do by banding together as one Anguilla with a common destiny through this mantra: Together Each Achieves More!

Let us remain loyal and committed in our quest to be pioneers of the NOW ANGUILLA, THE NEW ANGUILLA AND THE ANGUILLA THAT WE WISH TO LEAVE FOR THE FULFILMENT OF GENERATIONS OF ANGUILLIANS TO COME!

In closing I leave you with these words from Mr James Ronald Webster Anguilla’s Revolutionary Leader, ……..”Fears and doubts only overshadow a man when he lacks confidence.” “ Our battle will not be won by force, but by your support under the Almighty hand of God.”
