On Thursday May 25th, Anguillian Nora Denise “Neisy” Niles of The Farrington, gave God thanks and praise for a wonderful milestone in her life. Ms. Niles, a God fearing lady, celebrated her 100th birthday at St. Mary’s Parish Church with her five loving children who reside here locally: Albert “Humphrey” Lake and David Julian Niles, better known as “Eye Spy”. Her grandchildren, family, and friends were also grateful to share in the celebrations.
During her earlier years, she lived and worked as a nanny in Curaco, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. She is fully alert and aware of current events and a recollection of childhood memories. She has a jovial spirit and sense of humour, both of which she is well known for. She has always taken pride in her appearance and is still that way. She used to sew very well, and still does a little bit. Neisy has been congratulated by family and friends for being Anguilla’s newest centenarian.
