Rotary Club of Anguilla donates US$2000.00 to the Adrian T. Hazell Primary School in Support of the School Kitchen Project. The money donated will assist in the completion of the School Kitchen.
According to Principal Tracelyn Hamilton the objective of the Kitchen upgrade is to provide hot healthy school meals starting from the new school year, September 2017.
It was further stated it is one of the school initiatives to offer an alternative to parents.
The report provided by the School Health Nurses regarding the health of the students is of course a concern to all, Nutrition is key to children’s growth mentally and physically.
We would like to invite others to partner with us to make this a reality for our children. As there are are still many utensils required for the kitchen before they can begin serving.
Once completed this will enable the Students to have their lunch in the School Multi-Purpose Auditorium that will also serve as a Cafeteria. The Students will no longer have to cross the busy road to buy lunch or snacks.
In handing over the check President Elect Jacquie Ruan remarked the Rotary Club are pleased to support education, lunch is obviously a priority, so it will be made affordable The Rotary Club of Anguilla supports the effort of Principal Tracelyn Hamilton and her staff for making the welfare and safety of the Students a top priority.
The donation is made possible due the generosity Blondie and Rick friends of Rotary and Anguilla who have been visiting and supporting Anguillain projects for many years.
