The Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry extends congratulations to Anguilla for this 50th Anniversary milestone. We salute the early stalwarts of the Revolution for their vision and bravery. The results of the actions of these heroes and heroines served as a catalyst for business development in Anguilla. Anguilla should indeed be proud that our business community has grown tremendously over the last 50 years. The Chamber is grateful for the opportunity to support businesses in Anguilla.

Since its inception, the Chamber of Commerce has experienced both challenges and successes. The Chamber derives its strength from its members. As Anguilla turns 50, we thank you for your support. Over the last 50 years, a strong and entrepreneurial spirit has increasingly come to the forefront in Anguilla. We have always been a people who have survived and thrived by our wits. In this new era which requires new business skills and expertise, and is characterized by ever changing technology, we at the Chamber are ready to provide the services and opportunities which can support your business.

The Chamber of Commerce continues to examine and respond to the needs of businesses in Anguilla. We are focused on sharing and creating business opportunities and resources to give our businesses wider exposure. We are grateful to have worked with local, regional and international agencies and advisors to provide training, seminars and advice to our members. Increasingly important, we remain in close contact with Government regarding economic affairs and facilitate communication and meetings to share members’ concerns. The Chamber has become increasingly well-known and respected by Government, media and those in the business community.

As members of the Chamber of Commerce, businesses can take advantage of opportunities to hold “Business after Hours” events, or gain additional exposure through the Chamber’s radio programme ‘What’s On Today,’ or be featured in ACOCI’s Corner in The Anguillian. The Chamber can also circulate information about, and, for its members daily through its email database and via social media particularly Facebook and Twitter. Valuable business training and seminars, and opportunities to meet and network with Government officials, are organised throughout the year. The Chamber is also pleased to continue to support education of young people through the ACOCI Scholarship Fund at Anguilla Community College. Support is also provided to the DYC Entrepreneurship Expo in the form of a scholarship for a young and promising entrepreneur. The Chamber will continue to support investment in youth as we look towards the future.
As we look towards the next 50 years, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry remains committed to being the voice of Anguilla business, the partner of first choice for information and guidance and the number one choice for business support. We therefore urge all businesses in Anguilla to support the Chamber and to take advantage of all the expertise offered. Again, we offer wholehearted congratulations to the people of Anguilla as we celebrate 50 years since the Revolution.
