Anguillian athletes enjoyed a “Golden Weekend” when some 37 athletes travelled to St. Martin to compete in the 16th Avenir Sportif Track Classic on Saturday, 29th April.
This event featured athletes from St. Martin, St. Maarten, St. Barthes, Guadeloupe, Martnique and Anguilla.

Our overseas athletes also turned in stellar performances over the weekend, when Artesha Richardson eclipsed Rosanna Browne’s 200m National Record of 24.80 by creating a new National Record of 24.37 in the 200m at the Bobcat Classic in San Marcos, Texas. Rosanna’s record stood since 1991.
Not to be outdone Rechelle Meade set a new school record in long jump at the University of Idaho with a leap of 6.09.
