Mr. Hodge, who has several family connections on the island, was born in East End, Anguilla. He attended the Elementary School there and, at early age, migrated to Santo Mingo. There, he remained for most of his life and established his own family – a wife (who preceded him in death) and nine children.

In earlier years, he occasionally returned to his native Anguilla until he finally settled back home and was joined by two of his children. He served for some time as a casual worker at the Social Security Building until his retirement.

His funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon this week at St. Mary’s Parish Church in The Valley. He is survived by seven children, a number of grand and great grandchildren and other relatives.
