Job Link-Up Students and Personnel of the Department of Youth & Culture

The Department of Youth & Culture in collaboration with the Anguilla Community College facilitated a preparatory workshop for the 2017 cohort of the Job Link-Up Programme. The training commenced on Monday, February 13th through February 16th 2017 and covered modules such as:
Working as an Apprentice
Solving Work Related Problems
Working in a Team
Preparing for Work Placements
Conduct at Work
Developing Personal Presentation Skills for the Workplace
Self-Management Skills
Setting and Meeting Targets at Work
Introduction to Health & Safety

At the end of the workshop the cohort of 20 clients were presented with participation and completion certificates to recognise their achievement. This training is mandatory for all clients on the programme who would be benefiting from the Job placements.

The Job Link-Up Programme aims to assist vulnerable youth on Anguilla between the ages of 16-30 years by providing them with opportunities for continuing education, acquisition of life skills through its apprentice component, psychological support and career counseling along with other training to help them develop personally, professionally and academically.
