The National Chronic Disease Unit celebrated World AIDS Day at several events one being a church service organized by ACAN where Mrs. Twyla Bradshaw-Richardson gave the address on behalf of the Hon. Evans Mac Neil Rogers. Ms. Fedalia Richardson was asked to address the young people and gave remarks about Chronic Diseases on Wednesday, the eve of World AIDS Day, they were invited to the Governor’s House to celebrate with ACAN and their achievements over the years. They also organized a Candle Light Ceremony held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Island Harbour on World AIDS Day. On Friday they closed out the Debating Series which featured students from the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School. Very fitting, the topic was, “PrEP Medications Should Be Introduced in Caribbean Countries as a Means of Preventing the Spread of HIV/AIDS.” This debating series was sponsored by the Anguilla Social Security Board, Leviticus Lifestyle and Travel and Sandy Island Anguilla.
