seaboune-plane-1Now that the restrictions have been lifted from the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport, Seaborne Airlines has not only resumed its scheduled flights to Anguilla on Thursday this week, but has substantially expanded its previous service to the tourist island.
Further, Seaborne has announced a new connection with Delta Airlines in addition to the connections it already has with JetBlue and American Airlines, thus facilitating more visitors to Anguilla.
The above information is contained in a press release from the Anguilla Tourist Board dated November 2, 2016. The text of the release is as follows:
“Travel to Anguilla has just become easier and more convenient than ever with the publication of Seaborne Airlines’ new and expanded scheduled service to the island. This expanded service was negotiated in a comprehensive agreement between the Anguilla Tourist Board and Seaborne Airlines, concluded in July of this year.

“Starting on Thursday, November 10, 2016, scheduled service from San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport (SJU) in Puerto Rico to Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA) will operate five days a week, up from three days, and includes additional morning and evening flights to facilitate traffic coming from the west coast of the United States and from the United Kingdom.

“Seaborne has also announced a new code share agreement with Delta Air Lines, which allows for a seamless connection via San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport (SJU) in Puerto Rico to flights into Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA).

“Seaborne Airlines is a valued partner in our mission to expand and improve access to Anguilla,” said Donna A. Banks, Chairperson of the Anguilla Tourist Board. “This new schedule will facilitate arrivals for visitors from all our source markets. The new Delta codeshare, which complements those already in place with JetBlue and American Airlines, will make it easier to locate flights to Anguilla on all the major online booking platforms.”

“We welcome Seaborne Airline’s expanded service and the new codeshare agreement with Delta Air Lines, which will undoubtedly have a positive and significant impact on our visitor arrivals,” said Delroy Lake, President of the Anguilla Hotel and Tourist Association. “Time is one of the most important value propositions for our visitors, and we need to make it as simple and convenient as possible for them to travel to Anguilla.”

“The new service will operate on the following days at these scheduled times:
Origin Destination Departure Time Arrival Time Frequency
AXA SJU 8:00AM 8:55AM Sat, Sun, Mon
SJU AXA 12:15PM 1:15PM Thurs, Sat, Sun
AXA SJU 1:45PM 2:40PM Thurs, Sat, Sun
SJU AXA 6:50PM 7:50PM Fri, Sat, Sun
