On Sunday, November 20, Omololu International School will host the 3rd Annual Anguilla Culinary Sampler, a festival of food and culture, on the Omololu Campus. The event is scheduled from 4 pm until 8 pm.
The highlight of the day will be delicious gourmet food items prepared by 12 different restaurants from across the island. This year returning favorites Veya, Meze, CuisinArt, Sandbar, Picante, Roy’s Bayside Grill, and Ciao Café being joined by first time participants Four Seasons Resort, Zemi Beach Resort, Spice of India, Sarjai’s Caribbean Cuisine, and Sharpy’s Shake Shack.
Retail vendors present will include Petal’s Boutique, Caribbean Soaps and Sundries, Essentials Office Supplies, Bijoux Boutique, Tropical Treats, Dolphin Discovery, Anguilla’s Jammin’, Jewel Art, and many more.
There will also be Silent Auction with items from Ani Villas, The Scuba Shack, Dolphin Discovery, EPIC RIDES Bicycles, and many restaurants from across Anguilla. The prestige item this year is a pair of handmade Adirondack Chairs up for auction.
Entry to the grounds is free, and patrons will be able to sample all 12 restaurants with the purchase of one US $50 ticket. Children’s food tickets are $10.
The event brings together people, businesses, and restaurants from across Anguilla to share food, drink, and culture in wonderful and fun setting. Mrs. Erline White, owner of Ciao Café at the Anguilla Airport, is participating for the second time. “Ciao Café had a blast at last year’s Culinary Sampler. We really enjoyed sharing tasty bites of some of our favorite dishes and enjoyed the smiles of our patrons. The atmosphere was vibrant with great scents and happy faces,” she says about the experience. “As a Chef I also truly enjoyed seeing other top Chefs at work and I got some great ideas for new dishes. This event is truly unique and brings together a wonderful culinary celebration supporting a great cause. I look forward to another fantastic experience this year.”
Proceeds from the event will go to the Omololu International School Financial Aid Fund and towards construction of the Omololu Middle School which will open in September.
