THE VALLEY, Anguilla (November 02nd, 2016) – FLOW, the longest standing full telecommunication provider in Anguilla, celebrated its 45th anniversary last week with an array of activities. The week began with a Church service at the St Marys Anglican Church on Sunday 23rd October, where past members of Cable and Wireless were invited to attend the service with the present staff. Commercial Manager Jade Reymond and Country Manager Desron Bynoe participated in the set program for the 8:00am service by reading the scriptures. Reverend Menes Hodge acknowledged the presence of the staff, said as special prayer for them and wished them well for their 45th.
The Church service was followed by a Staff picnic at Rendezvous Bay, where the staff played Dominoes, beach games and ate BBQ from Bonfinesse Party Place (Vanessa Ruan) well into the sunset.
On Wednesday 26th October and Thursday 27th October, Telecoms House facilitated OPEN day with the 6 primary schools in attendance under the theme “Communication, From Then to Now” under the facilitator Mr. Michael C Mussington, demonstrated to the students, mostly Grades 4 to 6, how communication has evolved over the years and the current services being offered.
On Tuesday, 25th October the staff invited all persons to attend a spirited Zumba class on the grounds of Telecoms House, at 5:30pm. The Zumba class was facilitated by Shana Jno-Baptiste and Samantha Boyce Kentish under the theme “Strive to be the Best”. The team enjoyed the class and will be hosting weekly aerobic classes. SMS messages will be sent to invite persons to attend.
Wednesday 26th October was Customer Appreciation “Pick a Discount” Day where persons had the chance to get up to a 15% discount instantly off their bill. The theme “Serve Customers with Passion” was demonstrated as the agents gave every customer in the line the chance to pick from an array of discounts from 1% to 15% off.
On Thursday 27th October, FLOW hosted its first ever Business Domino Competition. Four teams competed for the championship trophy. We would like to congratulate the NCBA team which consisted of Corrin Fleming, Javille Brooks, Kenrick Proctor and Kelbert Walters on their win.
Friday 28th October FLOW staged its 5th Bingo Evening at Telecoms House in commemoration of its 45th Anniversary of operations in Anguilla. The hugely popular event attracted a large number of patrons as there was over EC$30,000 in cash and prizes to be won including the jackpot of US$4,500 (EC$12,096.90)!
The Grand prize was won by Irlon Joseph and Akaila Laing who expressed their excitement on Friday night when it was confirmed they had a “Good Bingo”!
The prizes at the Bingo included the Apple iPhone 6S, Apple iPad Air 2 128GB, Samsung S7, 6 Months FREE FLOW TV, Gift vouchers from Gadget City, and much more.
Commercial Manager, Miss Jade Reymond stated that whilst the staging of this Bingo with the support of its key partners served to underscore its social responsibility to the community it also provided a fun-filled and innovative way for our customers to gain FREE access to our products and services.
Proceeds from the Bingo will be donated to our colleagues in Bahamas, who have suffered losses during the passing of Hurricane Mathew.
The week of celebrations ended in style with the staging of MOVE, by Klassique Academy of Dance, on FLOW’s anniversary date 29th October 2016. This event hosted a number of islands from across the region in addition to international dance academies. The much anticipated event was well attended and showcased never-before seen dances in Anguilla namely, Aerial dancing, dances from Ghana, Africa and the like.
