On Wednesday 2nd November the Rotary Club of Anguilla, held a presentation for the first Earlyact Club of Anguilla at the Vivien Vanterpool Primary School. In attendance were the President of Rotary International Mr. Ian Riseley and his wife; District Governor-elect Mr. Robert Leger and his wife of Haiti and St. Martin Rotary Club representative Ms. Jasmin Sally.
The Earlyact Club has twenty two members who are eager and diligent participants. Teacher Estelle expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club of Anguilla for assisting the club in starting projects at the school. She stated that the members have already come up with brilliant ideas for them to work on in the future.
The President of the Rotary Club Anguilla, Mrs. Genefa Fedee stated; “The mission of Earlyact is to promote, goodwill, understanding and peace through active participation of its student members, so that with committed citizenship and effective leadership, they may improve the quality of life of their school, local and global communities.” She briefly explained the idea of Rotary which is ‘service above self’ and its objectives to the new members.
Mr. Riseley and his wife presented the new members with their certificate as part of the Rotary Club and a Special Rotary Dictionary. Mr. Riseley congratulated the members being the first Earlyact Club members in Anguilla and encouraged them to achieve their goals. The Earlyact Club at V.C.P.S meets on Thursday afternoons weekly.
