On Wednesday 19th October, the Department of Social Development, in collaboration with the Anguilla Retired Persons Association and the Anguilla Bar, held a half-day “Will Writing and Probate” Workshop at the Soroptimist Conference Room.
As part of the exercise, participants were showed the process of writing a will, and assisting a friend or neighbour in making a will. They also learned what you should do if a loved one or spouse should die whether leaving a will or dying without a last will.
The workshop was facilitated by retired Justice Don Mitchell QC and Mrs. Keesha Carty from the Private Bar. It was in keeping with was held a number activities mark, Senior Citizen’s Month – October. The workshop was well attended by members of the general public.
