On Thursday, October 20th, the National Commercial Bank of Anguilla (NCBA) managers and supervisors completed a series of retreats and half-day workshops in order to support its customers with an even stronger team of banking professionals, overall. The sessions were customised for the NCBA based on the Anguilla Community College leadership class and facilitated by Melinda Goddard, principal of ClienTell Consulting.

“I was very pleased to see the dedication of the entire management team, as we made time to enhance our leadership competencies, even while the pressure and excitement from our full integration was building.” Michael Bird, Chief Executive Officer of NCBA, remarked. “We all look forward to not only one bank and one brand committed to customers, but also one, unified leadership team to make sure we deliver on our promises as an organisation.”

By customising the 3-day class into a 1-day retreat and four half-days for each group, the managers and supervisors were able to maintain ongoing operations while: learning new ways to communicate and inspire with a shared vision for NCBA in the future; sharpening their analytical skills in seeking better ways to deliver banking services for customers; making sure every member of every team is given the attention and support needed to deliver his or her full potential; managing with a broad view that leads with every other department in mind; and raising awareness of a universal commitment to mutual respect, trust, and integrity as NCBA leaders.
