Commissioner of Police Mr. Paul Morrison has announced the promotion of Sergeant Randolph Yearwood to the position of Inspector in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department within the Royal Anguilla Police Force.
Inspector Yearwood, who joined the ranks of the Royal Anguilla Police Force on the 1st January, 1994 has spent a considerable number of years working the Criminal Investigation Department. He has also attended several courses whilst attached to the Criminal Investigation Department over the years.
“Inspector Yearwood comes to the position with a wealth of knowledge and experience,” said Commissioner of Police Paul Morrison. “You have also demonstrated that you have the skills and the competencies necessary for the position and you will no doubt continue to be an asset to the RAPF in its fight against crime and criminal elements in society”.
Insp. Yearwood in responding said, “I am honored to have been promoted to the rank of inspector of the Royal Anguilla Police Force. I thank Almighty God for giving me the strength and wisdom, as well as my colleagues for the support they have given me. As we move forward in partnership with the public to solve crimes great emphasis will be placed on intelligence led policing, scene of crime capabilities and a reduction in serious and volume crimes. I take this opportunity to asked for the continuing assistant of the people of Anguilla as we work together to make Anguilla a safer place”.
Insp. Yearwood will be responsible for the Major Crime Unit, the Volume Crime Unit, Scenes of Crime Unit, Criminal Intelligence Unit, Sexual Investigation Unit and the Family Liaison Unit.
