THE VALLEY, Anguilla (October 19th, 2016)- Wednesday, 19′” October FLOW celebrated Mission day! The entire team of C&W Communications, from the Cayman Islands to Colombia, Miami to Montserrat, thousands of employees were cleaning beaches, painting classrooms, beautifying orphanages, feeding the homeless and more.
The day was marked as the day the company brought their mission – Connecting Communities, Transforming Lives- to life.
“Our employees care about the communities where we live, work and play.
Mission Day is how we give back to these communities.” stated FLOW Anguilla’s Country manager, Desron Bynoe. “And although today is just one day out of the year, our mission and values are more than words on a wall. Our mission is our guide post- it’s the goal we aim to accomplish through our work every single day, and our values represent the behaviours that will help us succeed. They are examples of the culture we want to create.” He continued.

FLOW Anguilla team partnered with the WISE School – W.I.S.E. focuses on students at risk who have a practical inclination. These students are selected to be part of W.I.S.E through self-referral or referral by ALHCS staff or the Department of Social Development. The students attending W.I.S.E. are involved in individual projects of their choice in the areas carpentry, boat building, jewellery, ceramics, visual arts, glass, agro science and gardening, food technology, bike repair, computer skills; new workshops in small-engine repair, teamwork-wood, electricity and fashion.

Qualified teachers, facilitators and volunteers are actively involved to support, encourage, assist and praise the students to achieve the aims. The focus is on improving the students’ attitude, work skills and self-management.
It was only fitting that the FLOW team assist in the areas that we work inCommunication.
The IT department needed an uplift in painting and providing more suitable furniture for the classroom. As part of the “Mission Day” objective the classroom was adopted by the FLOW Staff, who volunteered their time to paint the classroom and donate furniture that was unused from one of their buildings at Telecoms house.

Commercial Manager Jade Reymond was elated after the day ended and the classroom was transformed into a more suitable working area – “Mission day truly embraces the essence of FLOW- transforming lives. The WISE School is detrimental to our islands teenager’s futures, and ensuring that they are given the right tools to be successful in Anguilla. We are grateful to the Education Department and the team at WISE for this opportunity. We commend you on your efforts and wish you much success”
