On Saturday 3rd September, Sensational Flavours hosted Anguilla’s First Watermelon Festival at Mount Fortune. The Festival showcased the farm’s yield of juicy watermelons and other crops such as honey dew melons, eggplants, breadfruit and lettuce.
A staple to any Festival there was fry fish and Johnny cakes with freshly made local drinks on sale.
Naturally made products were also available: soaps, shampoos and lotions made from Moringa, Neem and other plants.
The road was lined with cars as person and passers-by stopped to see the Festival and try the unusual yellow-orange watermelons.
Sensational Flavours “The Healthy Choice” Watermelon Festival was powered by FLOW. It marked a great way to end the summer with fresh summer melons.
The owner/manager, Salih Abdur Raheem, would like to thank his Sensational Flavours Team and also everyone who came out and supported the event. Much love goes out to FLOW who powered the event.
Every Saturday you can obtain fresh organic produce at the farm.
