Omololu International School will begin the 2016-2017 School Year on Monday, September 5, and 8:00 am. The students and staff at Omololu represent over 25 different nationalities, each bringing its experiences and knowledge into the classroom for a unique and dynamic learning environment.
With a student body that has been steadily growing, over the last 4 years, Omololu offers small class size, highly qualified teachers, and a full array of specialist classes including Physical Education, Music, Fine Arts, Spanish, ITC and French. These subjects supplement a proven track record of excellent academics, an area where OIS has excelled in both national and regional examinations.
Additionally, over the past 3 years, Omololu has been working towards getting authorized for the International Baccalaureate – Primary Years Programme and in July received word that they were approved by the International Baccalaureate Organization. This distinction is shared by less than 1,000 schools worldwide, and certifies that OIS practices a progressive and student centered model of education. IB promotes a different approach to education, allowing Omololu to still teach the Anguilla National Curriculum, but to infuse it with global context and additional content all while encouraging students to be life-long learners and to take responsibility for their own education.
For the 2016-17 School Year, Omololu is offering a special reduced rate for Anguillian students and is making preparations for the opening of the Omololu International Middle School in 2017-2018. Space in the middle school will be limited and current enrolled students will get first opportunity to enroll.
