The Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation (AARF) is extremely excited to announce a new and larger location for its Second Chances Boutique thrift store!
It’s now at the Megasavers building in The Farrington, having moved from the St. Gerard’s Catholic Church location, where it operated very successfully for just over two years.
Filling a need in the community for economical shopping solutions for gently used clothing, books and housewares, 100% of the proceeds have gone directly to AARF (which is an all-volunteer, entirely unpaid organization), funding its mission to help dogs, cats, kittens and puppies on Anguilla. This boutique thus has served the community’s needs for quality goods as well as Anguilla pets and pet owners.
The new location is over twice the size as the previous store, which allows for a more pleasant shopping experience. And shoppers have the ability to browse under any weather condition, since it is completely indoors.
Second Chances is still centrally located, especially for shoppers in The Valley area. And being co-located with Megasavers, customers may patronize each store and discover greater shopping opportunities.
The first year’s rent has been generously donated by an AARF supporter who wishes to remain anonymous. AARF respects the donor’s wishes, but is very, very grateful for this very generous gift.
The store hours for September and October will be Tuesdays from 9 a.m. until noon. That is expected to expand as more volunteers arrive for high season.
Volunteers and donations are always needed. Please stop by during business hours or call AARF at 264-476-2731 if interested in helping or if there are any questions.
