A team of 36 athletes and 10 officials took part in the 16th edition of the CUT games held in BVI on 15th and 16th July 2016. The team amassed 235 and 6th overall out of 12 countries who participated. Jamaica was 1st with Barbados and St. Kitts rounding off the top 3.
Some note worthy performance came from Johniff Gumbs who captured the Under 9 boys class championship winning two silver medals in 80ms and 150ms and two bronze medals in the Cricket ball throw and as part of the 4x100ms relay team who consisted of Niakoy Phillip, Zach Davies and Kemari Gumbs, who erased the National Record that was broken this year from 1.05.00 to 59.39sec. This feat was first time a male Anguillan team had medaled in a 4x100ms in the CUT games.
Other medalist included Jenell Smith who captured silver in the Under 13 girls 100ms, Khallan Edmeade who took silver in the Under 9 Girls long Jump and bronze as part of quartet who comprised Khedijah Bannis, Sieanna Ferguson, Te-Jhana Young who gave Anguilla its first 4x100ms female relay medal with a new National Record of 1.02.38. Omar Hodge was a double bronze medalist in the Under 13 boys Shot Put and CBT with Omar establishing a new National Record with a throw of 9.77metres
