EAST END COMMUNITY SPORTS CLUB DONATES TO HOSPITAL, PRESENTS AWARDS

The East End Community Sports Club during the period April-June 2016 presented an “Anguilla’s Got Gospel Talent 2 Competition” and a gospel concert both geared towards raising funds for the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The club has for the past seven (7) years organized gospel concerts to assist educational and medical institutions on the island.
On 28th July, 2016 Ms. Stacie Ruan, Organizer of the fund-raisers, and Mr. Owen Mussington President of the club, presented to Ms. Erdelle Fleming, Manager of the Operating Theatre at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, a cheque in the amount of EC$8,500.00 which will be utilized to assist with the purchasing of an authotherm shortwave diathermy unit which is used to stop bleeding during surgery.
The grand finale and awards ceremony was held on 28th May, 2016 at the St. Gerard’s Roman Catholic Church and the results are as follows:

Females: 1st place – Ms. Mmelona Hughes (award accepted on her behalf)
2nd place – Ms. Claudette Vanterpool
3rd place – Ms. Asaphia Connor

Males: 1st place – Pastor James Harrigan
2nd place – Mr. Oshane Johnson
3rd place – Mr. Samuel Theodore

Instrumentalists: 1st place – Men of Honor
2nd place – Mr. Jahvade Martin

Dance: 1st place – Kingdom Citizen Male Dance Group (Representative)
2nd place – Children of God
3rd place – Waging Warriors

Groups: 1st place – Ms. Trevelle Connor & Ms. Caledah Hull
2nd place – The Martins
3rd place – Harmonious

Children: 1st place – Ms. Myisha Letang
2nd place – Ms. Chamika Richards
3rd place – Ms. Kyliyah Baird
