If not me who? If not now when? Those were two important questions presented to the 150 participants who attended the concluded Yes4Christ Seven Youth Conference held at the Grenadian Rex Resort Grenada. The Conference was hosted by the Youth arm of the Regional Christian Brethren Assemblies and offered much spiritual growth, cultural exchange and fostered networking among the Gospel Halls of the Caribbean.

Fifteen Caribbean countries along with France and Panama were represented; eight of which came from Bethany Gospel Hall Anguilla. The main objective of the conference was to “challenge Christian Brethren Youth of the Caribbean to come together, commit their lives to Jesus Christ and transform their churches and communities for Him.” 1 Corinthians 12:12. The main speaker was Bro. Edward Richardson (Bermuda). He encouraged, charged and reminded all participants of their role within the body of Christ each interconnected and dependent on the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Workshop topics included Touch, Click, View! Using your Creativity in Technology to Connect Bro. Jeremy Clacken (Jamaica) , Creativity in Planning Youth Programmes Bro. Brian Burke (St. Vincent & The Grenadines), Speak Out, Shout, Tell the World About…JESUS!!! Bro. Napolean Black (Jamaica), what’s next? Who’s Next? YOU’RE NEXT! Are You Ready? Bro. Nestor Campbell (Antigua & Barbuda), When Do ‘I Do’ and With Whom? Bro. Rodney Brown (Trinidad and Tobago) and The Roles and Duties of Women in the Church Sis. Ruth Elizabeth Rouse (Grenada) Amidst the challenging times in which we live and the preoccupation with secularism and social trends young people from across the region were challenged to remain faithful and reminded that The Lord Jesus Christ is relevant for all times.

The presence of Bethany Gospel Hall BWI sought to establish new linkages, advertise Anguilla as a Tourist Destination and cemented relationships with regional youth ministries with the aim of networking for missions, special projects and the propagation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus. In the coming months the church will benefit from exchange youth camps, conferences and missions that are already in the pipe line. The young Anguillans viewed the spiritual and cultural experience as rewarding. The young people will be engaged in workshops and missions that will improve the nature of youth services and impact the community.

The cultural presentations added flavor to the already spiced conference. Anguilla was well represented as the youth’s demonstrated aspects of Anguilla’s culture in poetry and song.
Special thanks is expressed to Pastor Rodwell Grant, Elder Rosevelt Phillip, the members of the Bethany Gospel Hall, and all who supported the efforts and made it possible for team Anguilla to attend. Bethany Gospel Hall continues to create a Caring environment for young people to come to the Lord Jesus Christ and will endeavor to contribute to the spiritual and holistic development of Anguilla’s youth.
