Anguilla’s national female volleyball team returned home on Monday after placing third in the recently concluded round one of the FIVB (Federation Internationale de Volleyball) World Cup qualifiers. Other islands participating in the competition were Bermuda, St. Maarten and the British Virgin Islands. This event was held in St. Maarten from August 6th to 7th August at the L.B Scott Auditorium. Anguilla secured five of the individual awards on offer: Rikiesha Leveret won the best opposite hitter award; Connie Liburd won the best setter award, and Mrs. Ludiane Leveret-Richardson won the best scorer, best passer and best attacker award.
