The five contestants vying for the title of Ms. Tiny Tott 2016/2017, along with the Reigning Ms. Tiny Tott, were afforded the opportunity of a familiarization visit to the Cuisinart Resort, Spa and Golf Course last Saturday ,as they gear up with preparation for this year’s competition to be held on Sunday July 24th 2016.

The Pageant now in its 15th year is being organized annually by the Founder and Chair – Ms. Patra Brodie – along with a 20-strong membership committee known as “Team Tiny Tott”.

According to the Pageant Committee’s Public Relations Officer – Ms. Patricia Bygrave – this is the 3rd consecutive year that contestants venture on this familiarization tour, against the backdrop of sensitizing them about the island’s tourism product, and its offerings, given its importance to the island’s economy. She further added that the annual visit was coordinated for the contestants from the perspective that tourism is indeed everyone’s business and that as young Anguillians, they need to become aware of, and somewhat exposed to, the operations and importance of this main income earner that “drives” the economy.

During their visit to the Resort, the contestants, under the guidance of Front Office Manager, Mrs. Davida Carter, toured one of the Resort’s guest suites and the Spa following which they enjoyed a brief lesson, in “putting” at the Golf Course, under the guidance of one of the Resort’s golf pros. They were then treated to refreshments provided by the Resort.

Team Tiny Tott Organisers wish, through this medium, to extend gratitude to the Management Team at Cuisinart Resort for affording the contestants the opportunity to be given an inward glance of its operations.
