The National Commercial Bank of Anguilla Ltd (NCBA) is delighted to announce its support for this year’s Anguilla Summer Festival. Firstly, as a Platinum Sponsor of the Junior Calypso Competition where the junior calypsonians, the future of calypso in Anguilla, will showcase their various renditions on Sunday, July 31st at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre. Secondly, as the proud host of the August Wednesday Boat Race, on August 3rd, in collaboration with the Anguilla Boat Racing Association. This race will start at Road Bay, then pass along Rendezvous Bay, and on to Blowing Point, and return to Road Bay.
“We look forward to sharing in the preparations and promotional activities leading up to this year’s Summer Festival, especially the two events sponsored by the Bank,” said Mr. Colville Petty, Chairman of the Board of NCBA. Mr. Petty further expressed the Bank’s commitment to assisting in the development and preservation of our culture hence the reason for the Bank’s sponsorship of these two events in particular. According to Mr. Petty, “Boat Racing and Calypso are important aspects of who we are as Anguillians, and it is only fitting that NCBA be associated with both of them”.

He further stated: “I am sure that I speak for everyone in Anguilla, who loves boat racing, when I say we are truly happy to have NCBA on board”.
Ms. Rebecca Webster, Chairperson of the Junior Calypso Committee, expressed sincere thanks to NCBA for its partnership in what will now be called the “NCBA Junior Calypso Show”. Ms. Webster indicated that “the entire Committee is extremely happy that NCBA has chosen to contribute towards this year’s Junior Calypso Show. NCBA, along with the Anguilla Boat Racing Association and the Junior Calypso Committee, will be launching promotional campaigns, shortly, to ensure that both events are successful and enjoyed by all.
The Board, Management and staff of the NCBA wish all a safe, spectacular and memorable Anguilla Summer Festival 2016.
