In its usual grand style, the Adrian T. Hazell Primary School graduated 46 students on Wednesday evening, bound for Campus B of the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School in September.
Many of the students received awards in various categories. Among the main awards were: Valedictorian: Makia Hodge; Salutatorian Daeja Richardson; Most Outstanding in Mathematics and Social Studies, Makia Hodge; Most Outstanding in Language, Daéja Richardson; Most Outstanding in Science, Tyneea Woodley; Most Outstanding in CXC and C.P.E.A., Makia Hodge and Daeja Richardson.
Outstanding in Academics: Yyneeka Woodley, Verquan Richardson, Michki Carty, RyAnna Stott, Trevaunshae Carty; Khamauni Davis; Carrie Zheng; Franshesca Numez; Sharanya Smeins and Franesha Martin.
There were also special awards for teachers and persons in the community as well as awards for parents.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. Tracelyn Hamilton, was the recipient of a Perseverance Award.
Among other items on the programme were remarks by the chairman of the graduation ceremony, Mr. Rondy Isles-Carty; welcome remarks by Teacher Janice Connor; presentation of the School Year in Review by Teacher Electra Carty-Buddle; and the Keynote Address by Ms. Simone Connor, a past student of the Adrian T. Hazell Primary School.
The school’s expansive auditorium was filled to capacity for the very well-organised graduation ceremony.
