The Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Anguilla has recognised the contribution of a public servant who served as a Protocol Officer for visiting dignitaries, and other official events, while also carrying out her substantive duties as an Immigration Officer.

The late Judith Veronica Richardson, formerly of North Side, was born on April 6, 1965, and died on April 24, 2016. At the funeral service on Tuesday, May 17, her body was borne in and out of St. Mary’s Anglican Church by a contingent of the Royal Anguilla Police Force. The officiating Clergy were the Rt. Reverend Errol Brooks and Reverend Menes Hodge.

Mr. Kenneth Hodge, Principal Assistant Secretary and Head Protocol Officer in the Ministry of Home Affairs, delivered a statement in which he described Ms. Richardson as having been a “dependable, efficient, effective, trustworthy and pleasant person”.

He continued: “She was an asset to the protocol officers and the service which they provided, and she will be dearly missed… As a mark of respect, and in tribute to her contribution, the pall bearers were drawn from officers of the Royal Anguilla Police Force who worked with the protocol officers over the years. Members of the RAPF are present at the service. I thank Commissioner Paul Morrison for this thoughtful gesture…It is much appreciated.”
