CuisinArt Golf Resort and Spa in Anguilla, which regularly awards its employees for excellent performance, has again awarded fourteen staff members selected from various departments of the five-star property.
The awards ceremony was hosted by Vice President and General Manager of the resort, Mr. Stephane Zaharia, and the Director of Human Resources, Ms Carleen Gumbs. The presentation of awards climaxed the resort’s first Staff Appreciation Day for 2016 held on Friday, April 29, at the Croquet Court, a delightful lawn area on the northern side of the property. There, throughout the day, chefs served food and refreshment as the resort showed appreciation for the work of its many employees.
In complimenting the employees at the awards presentation in the afternoon, Mr. Zaharia spoke on a number of matters of importance to them and the resort. He reported that the past couple of months were a busy period with more groups at CuisinArt this year than in the past few years. He thanked the employees for their great work which resulted in the continued success of the resort.
He was pleased to report that the property’s new sister hotel, the Reef by CuisinArt, was now in its final stages of construction. It comprises a five-storey building of 50 rooms and four other buildings accounting for another 30 rooms – a total of 80. “We are due to have our soft opening in mid-October and full opening in the first week of November,” Mr. Zaharia stated. He added that there would also be two restaurants, and spoke about the need to redeploy departments and staff as may be necessary across the entire property.
He also spoke about the importance of staff evaluations now taking place; health insurance training sessions; and an initiative to ensure that food served in the cafeteria for employees by chefs is prepared along the lines of healthy eating to promote their health and well-being.
