The Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation would like to thank all responsible pet owners that participated in the recent Free Spay/Neuter program by bringing their dogs and cats to Morlens Veterinary clinic for free surgery. Suzie Donahue, AARF’s spay/neuter manager reported that a total of 63 spays and neuters were sponsored by donations received from supporters. A total of 27 dog spays, 14 dog neuters, 11 cat spays and 11 cat neuters were completed at no charge to the pet’s owners.

AARF would like to recognize and thank Morlens veterinarians, Dr Garry Swanston and Dr. Niquet Goldson, as well as veterinary assistant, Jaicus Duque for their dedication and support of this project and the care they continue to give to the unwanted animals surrendered to the AARF shelter.

As dogs can have 2 litters per year and cats up to 3, the importance of controlling the births of unwanted animals is one of the main goals of AARF. We are grateful to all pet owners who took the time to bring their animals in for surgery and who were willing to be a part of the solution.

In the past 2 ½ years AARF has sponsored, with funds donated specifically for this project, almost 800 dog and cat spay and neuter surgeries on Anguilla. For more information contact AARF at aarfinfo@aarf.ai
