Artisan Pizza Napoletana owned and operated by Indra Webster and Juergen Beck opened its doors in December 2014. Artisan is an authentic Neapolitan Pizzeria specialising in Wood Fired pizza. The pizza is baked at 900 degrees in 60-90 seconds in an original oven built by Stefano Ferrara, an Italian manufacturer in Naples. The restaurant is open from Monday – Tuesday and Thursday – Saturday from 5pm – 11pm. Located in Island Harbour; it is fittingly described as ‘a rebel chic restaurant with an urban feel.’

This chic spot offers authentic Neapolitan Pizza, fresh house made pasta, house made gelato, soups, Italian Meat and Cheese Deli platters, salads and fried calamari and shrimps. They also provide fresh seasonal specials depending on availability of fresh ingredients. These include mussels, lobster, fish dishes, Porchetta and much more.

Artisan Pizza Napoletana distinguishes itself by providing an organic dining experience in a casual, urban setting that leaves each guest with a memorable experience. In Naples dining out to eat Pizza is a sit down event enjoyed by everyone – friends and family. They hope to create the same feel and atmosphere in Anguilla. In addition, the location in Island Harbour offers a new dining option for everyone in the Eastern part of the island

With professional backgrounds in finance and architectural design, this is a new but exciting venture for the duo. It was an avid love and passion for good food led them to start the business.

The best advice they have received and which they have applied to the general operation of their business is to “stick to what you believe is right and don’t get discouraged by any obstacles as there are no problems only solutions.

Their top business tip for persons thinking about starting a business is to be passionate in what you are doing and stay focused and consistent.

When asked how easy or how difficult is it to do business in Anguilla, their response showed that they focus on solutions not problems. They stated “no more or less difficult than doing business anywhere else in the world.”
Any business will face challenges and one faced by this restaurant is ensuring that their fresh Italian specialty ingredients which are imported are always available. This is important as they try to ensure that their dishes are authentic, consistent and delicious. Not surprisingly then, the biggest benefit these entrepreneurs have enjoyed is hearing that guests enjoyed their experience and want to return again and again.
The response from the public has been welcoming. They stated
“we have received a very warm welcome in the East End of the island and very positive responses across the whole island.”

Their love for Anguilla and their restaurant was very apparent when they stated, “In 10 years we see ourselves right here in Anguilla continuing to do what we love.”
To the General Public they shared
“Thank you for welcoming us in the community and across the island and we hope to see you all soon (again).”

Be sure to take a drive to Island Harbour and try the pizza and other dishes at Artisan Pizza Napoletana.
