Tesia Harrigan Joins Staff At UWI Open Campus Anguilla

Miss Tesia HarriganThe University of the West Indies Open Campus is pleased to announce the appointment of Miss Tesia Harrigan as the Administrative Assistant at the Anguilla Site. In this position Miss Harrigan will be working closely with the Manager for the UWI Open Campus British Overseas Territories, Dr. Phyllis Fleming-Banks, to oversee the local operations of the University.

Miss Harrgian is no stranger to the UWI, having completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Studies through the UWI Open Campus in 2012. Also the holder of an Associates Degree in Business Studies, Miss Harrigan has a wide range of skills and experience garnered from her work in a variety of managerial, administrative and compliance fields. Most recently she held the position of Office Manager/Compliance Officer at Span Hansa Group Limited. Her post-graduate studies include Educational Incubation, Intellectual Property and Anti-Money Laundering Certification from the Florida International Banker’s Association at FIU. She is also an active member of the UWI Alumni Association and the Anguilla Compliance Association.

Speaking on her appointment, Miss Harrigan says that she is extremely excited to be joining the operational team at the UWI Open Campus. “It is particularly rewarding and inspiring to return to my Alma Mater in this capacity,” she said. “I look forward to working with Dr. Fleming-Banks and the rest of the team as we promote the UWI as the first choice for tertiary education on Anguilla. I also look forward to furthering the collaboration between the Financial Services Sector and the UWI Open Campus Anguilla.”

She is very focused and goal oriented and certainly well-poised to make her contributions to the development of the UWI, Anguilla and the region as a whole.”
