tops1Students and teachers of The Outreach Preschool (T.O.P.S) visited The Anguillian newspaper on Monday 7th March as part of their social studies programme.

They were taken on a guided tour of the newspaper’s office to familiarize themselves with its operations. They were able to access the archives and had the opportunity to see the first copy of the newspaper, which was published in December 1998, and the subsequent issues in their most recent editions.

The tour enabled them to observe the growth of The Anguillian, its coverage of local information over the past 17 years, and to understand some aspects of producing a newspaper.

The students, though young, were inquisitive and intrigued.
