Winning teams in the Commonwealth Sports Day held this month, have been presented with shields engraved with the name of their particular house.
The presentations were made by the Anguilla Commonwealth Games Association. The shields were introduced by the Association in 2013.
It is a fun-filled series of sporting activities organised to encourage friendly rivalry among children to try their best in competitive sports regardless of the outcome.
This year’s presentation of the shields was undertaken by the Anguilla Commonwealth Games Youth Team which attended the Samoa Youth Games in 2015, along with Board Members of the Anguilla Commonwealth Games Association.
Mrs. Carmen Gumbs, the Office Administrator, coordinated the presentations.
