“KIDZ KARE” hosts 8th EASTER EGG-EXTRAVAGANZA

Children of all ages, from all schools on the island, enjoyed another grand Easter Egg-extravaganza on Saturday, March 19, 2016. This Easter themed family fun was held at the Agricultural Grounds, in the Valley, from 11:00am to 4:00pm. The event comprised of both educational and athletic activities such as bunny egg hunt, maths race, 3 legged race, egg ‘n’ spoon, bunny ball unscramble, egg toss, obstacle course, Easter tic tac toe, bunny hop, and bunny parade.

The event organiser, Mrs. Giselle Bartlette-Barrett announced that 380 tickets were sold. The EC$5.00 cost covered entrance, all games and a raffle entry to win EC$500 (1st prize), two Summer Retreat vouchers (2nd prize) or an Easter basket (3rd prize). First and second prizes were sponsored by KidzKare, whilst 3rd was sponsored by Gizelle’s Snackette. 1st prize was won by Miss Neshara Pradel, 2nd prize Miss Kenesha Webster and 3rd prize Miss Dishita Chatlani.

This unique and very popular fun day culminated with an egg o war (tug o war), giving of gifts for each game and the main raffle. Some of the prizes included swim with the dolphin vouchers, pizza vouchers, ice cream vouchers, hair wash and style, haircuts, cupcakes, juice cases, cakes, LIME top ups, monetary prizes, cookie baskets, book vouchers, and glass bottom boat rides.
KidzKare, a locally owned organisation provides “Awesome local events for awesome local kids”. These events are aimed at providing all children an opportunity to build confidence while encouraging positive social interaction, creativity and good sportsmanship.

A sincere thank you and vote of gratitude are extended to the participating children, their parents and guardians, KidzKare family, assistants and generous Sponsors. Mrs. Bartlette-Barrett expressed, “We are indeed honoured to have had the usual support of great individuals/ businesses for gifts. Many thanks to Gizelle’s Snackette, Elmoalis Ltd, Essential Office Services, Eva’s Awesome Treats, Lime Anguilla, Violet’s Salon, Dolphin Discovery, Stacey Cakes, Fat Cat Gourmet To Go, Kel’s Candy & Ice Cream, Unique Trading, Elsa’s Beauty Salon, the Roman Catholic Church, Mo’s Sweet Tooth, L&J Business Machines, Canita’s Face painting services, Corner Bar Pizza and Junior’s Glass Bottom Boat. This year’s event was another tremendous success and we anticipate that it will continue to grow in the future.
