The Valley, Anguilla, March 15, 2016…….If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of visiting Anguilla, now is the time. And for music lovers or those seeking a fun-filled getaway, this is the
ultimate vacation.
Moonsplash, one of the Caribbean’s best and liveliest music festivals, kicks off on Anguilla’s gorgeous Rendezvous Bay beach from April 21 – 24, 2016. Now in its 26th year, the festival was founded and is still hosted annually by Anguilla’s own Bankie Banx, known as “the Anguillian Bob Dylan,” whose music style combines reggae, folk, R&B and jazz, and who has actually toured with Bob Dylan.
The festival brings together internationally-acclaimed and up and coming recording artists from across the globe for four days of spectacular entertainment — a music-filled beach party, outdoors, at night, under the full moon and stars. In past years, the festival has welcomed musicians such as Chronixx, Torrance Riley, Inner Circle, Gregory Isaacs, Bunny Wailer, Rita Marley, and Toots & The Maytals. Surprise guests such as John Mayer, Jimmy Buffet, the Bacon Brothers and Nas to name just a few, also make regular appearances at Moonsplash. It takes place at Bankie’s Dune Preserve on beautiful Rendezvous Bay, a sweep of soft white sand and breathtaking views. Each night, this magical festival begins anew.
Special packages are available to this year’s Moonsplash. The lovely Anacaona Boutique hotel is offering 4 nights accommodatio
ns for two with breakfast daily, inclusive of all taxes, starting from US$800 per p
ackage, for travel during the period April 20 – 26, 2016. For more information on their special Moonsplash Music Festival package, email reservations@anacaonahotel.com or visit www.anacaonahotel.com.
But Anguilla is not just about the music. The island boasts 33 stunning, powder soft, white sand beaches and the most beautiful turquoise water. There are many options for water sports or you may just want to relax at the water’s edge and feel yourself a world away. Accommodations range from ultra-luxury villas to beautiful resorts, Charming Escapes hotels and guest houses, there is truly something for everyone. And when it comes to culinary experiences, Anguilla is second to none. There are over 120 restaurants on the island, everything from exquisite fine dining to beach shacks to food vans and roadside barbecues.
Just a flight from your nearest gateway to San Juan or St. Maarten, and a short flight or ferry transfer to Anguilla, the festival and a memorable getaway await you.
