The Anguilla Electricity Company (ANGLEC) and the Ministry and Department of Infrastructure of the Government of Anguilla have jointly responded to, and addressed, a complaint at North Side.
On Tuesday, this week, work crews from both entities removed some six dried-up almond trees from near the corner at Tommy Richardson building.
Using its tree-cutting equipment, ANGLEC sawed down the trees and the mass of dry wood was removed by the Department of Infrastructure’s workmen.
For some time now, the branches of the trees had been interfering with the electrical cables causing a shortage of power in some parts of the North Side community.
