PORTABLE TOILETS AT FOOD STRIP
Dear Mr. Editor:
One of the unattractive scenes at the so-called “food strip” in The Valley is presented by the row of portable toilets along the area. They are not all tucked away in places where they are not readily seen by patrons and passers-by.
Take for instance the one just off the edge of the main road in front of St. Mary’s Anglican Church where the traffic is both constant and heavy and where many people – locals and visitors – traverse. What is our Environmental Health Department doing about this?
I think there is an urgent need to look into this matter and the possibility of improving sanitary facilities in the area. The quicker this is done, the better will be the patronage for the “food strip” and the appearance of the area.
