The function was organised by the East End Cycling Club with the support and involvement of other groups including the Anguilla Cycling Association and individual cycle racing enthusiasts from various parts of the island. The combined race, the first of its kind in East End, is in aid of Charrisa Gumbs who was injured in St. Maarten and was flown to Columbia for treatment.

Last Sunday’s pre-season race and fundraising event was from 11 am to 11 pm and attracted a large crowd, making East End a very busy area in recent times. The cyclists from Anguilla and St. Martin/St. Maarten were in the ages of 5-18 years. They represented Masters, Elite, Juniors, Cadets, Novices and other categories, with children participating in BXM races.
Live band music was provided by the Movements Band of Anguilla and the Small Axe Band of St. Kitts. Various food and drink stalls also contributed to the entertainment of the large gathering well into the night.

The East End Cycling Club takes this opportunity to thank everyone for supporting the event, thus making it the success it was.
