The Department of Probation’s Community Service Unit, in collaboration with residents of Zenaida Haven, completed its first Give Back Project of the year. On Saturday 13th February, the Unit engaged in cleanup activity along the entrance to the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School’s Campus B. A total of 34 bags of garbage were collected. Members of the Department of Probation who also participated with residents included Chief Probation Officer, Ms. Jocelyn Johnson; Senior & Juvenile Care Workers Ms .Yoshida Gumbs & Ms. Dahlia Shields; and the Community Service Officer, Ms. René Henry.
Ms. Henry, on behalf of the Unit, would like to take this opportunity to extend gratitude to the Environmental Health Unit for their contributions towards this activity.
As the Community Service Unit continues to serve communities across the island, through Give Back Projects as well as assigned Community Service hours, Ms. Johnson took the opportunity to welcome Ms. René Henry to the Department of Probation in her capacity as Community Service Officer. She also extended gratitude and good luck to Ms. Toya Carty who vacated the position on promotion after seven years. Ms. Johnson would also like to remind persons that such similar activities will be planned and executed throughout the remainder of the year, and would welcome the input and suggestions of the community.
