Training and Employment Opportunity for Young People

The Department of Youth and Culture in collaboration with the Department of Education is extending an invitation to unemployed young persons between the ages of 17 – 30 years, who are desirous of pursuing a future career in Education, to sign up for introductory training in teaching and learning coupled with a six (6) month apprenticeship in the education sector.

Registration is ongoing at the Department of Youth and Culture until January 8th, 2016. The training courses will be held at the Anguilla Community College. Clients who have successfully completed the training will be attached to an education institution for a period of 6 months, as teaching assistants, and will receive monthly stipends.

This opportunity will provide applicants for future teaching positions in the public sector, with the prerequisite skills and experience needed to bolster their resumes for permanent employment in the education sector.

Spaces are limited and interested young persons are asked to register as soon as possible, by visiting the Department of Youth and Culture or by emailing the Programme Officer – (Youth) at Joleyne.robin@gov.ai.

All applicants should have a minimum of five (5) CXC Subjects including Mathematics, English, Science and a humanities subject.
