Sheriva Villas Harmony MystiqueSheriva Luxury Villas & Suites at West End, Anguilla, overlooking Maundays Bay and neighbouring St. Martin/St. Maarten, has been commended for winning the 2016 Conde Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence. The commendation to the Anguillian owners was given by Chief Minister and Minister of Tourism, Mr. Victor Banks. “I wish to congratulate Mr. Sheridan Smith and his family,” he told reporters on Tuesday this week. “Most of you are aware that there is a luxury villa at the western end of the island just adjacent to Cap Juluca, set on a hillside, with great views of St. Martin and the coastline. It is exquisite in its presentation and it was done by a gentleman by the name of Sheridan Smith. It was opened in 2006 and is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

“Over the years it has received a number of awards – the triple A Four-Diamond Award in 2008, and in 2009 it was also recommended for an award, but on this occasion it is the winner of the coveted 2016 Conde Nast Johansens Awards in the category of Best Exclusive Villa for the Caribbean and Pacific. So I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Smith and his family for this achievement.

“It shows that the local investors – born and bred Anguillians – have the potential to run away with coveted prizes like this award. I am very happy to report that, and I am sure you will join with me in wishing Mr. Smith and his family all the best and congratulate them for all of their efforts. We wish [to see] them continue their excellent service in the tourist industry and assure them that Anguillian investors can also compete in providing the kind of villa services for which Anguilla is well-known.

“Mr. Smith is a friend of mine and he has been a very good role model for Anguillians in the tourism industry, and we look forward to his continued success.”

The Chief Minister was joined by Minister of Home Affairs, Mrs. Cora Richardson Hodge, Minister of Social Development, Mr. Evans McNiel Rogers, and Parliamentary Secretary, Tourism, Mr. Cardigan Connor, in congratulating Mr. Smith and his family for the prestigious award.

Sheriva Luxury Villas & Suites comprises 22 opulent rooms spread across 3 villas, seven pools, a games lounge, a fully-equipped gym and other complementary comforts such as property-wide Wi-Fi and deluxe golf carts for beach jaunts to Maundays Bay.
